We all have felt a little lost in the past few months because of the uncertainty brought by the health crisis and lockdown. Our daily lives were profoundly disrupted, plans canceled, jobs lost, or redefined. Most of us hoped that things will go back to the way they were only to realize that nothing can be the same again and why should it be? Change is natural, change is evolution, and revolutionary.

Now social distancing, a much needed breath of air for the introverts, has become the new norm. How can we reconnect with ourselves and with the ones around us at a distance ?

IT corporations are trying to redefine connection by means of digital technologies, but how real is that connection while looking at a screen? Our lives are being transferred online. We are always plugged into the virtual reality ready to react to the sound of a new push notification. We upload and download our minds to the cloud. We forget /how/ to disconnect and how to live outside the digital box.

Creativity is the new expression of togetherness, of reconnecting with each other through what we share no matter the form (visual, musical, sensorial).

REconnecting project reflects on how we can redefine interactions in the context of social distancing, shifting social behaviors to reconnect with ourselves and the world surrounding through creativity, the language of our inner feelings and thoughts, the medium that speaks without words.
